La piscina cubierta de Torre del Mar del municipio malagueño de Vélez Málaga acogió el XXVI Campeonato de Andalucía Alevín de Invierno de Natación los días 23, 24y 25 de febrero de 2018. El evento contará con la participación de 344 deportistas, 168chicos y 176 chicas, de 51 clubes de toda Andalucía. La categoría masculina incluye a los nadadores nacidos en el año 2005 (13 años) y 2004 (14 años) y la categoría femenina a las nadadoras nacidas en el año 2006 (12 años) y 2005 (13 años).
Todos los deportistas pudieron participar en un máximo de cuatro pruebas individuales y debían tener acreditadas los tiempos exigidos por la Federación Andaluza de Natación.
Todas las pruebas se nadaron por el sistema contrarreloj y se estableció una clasificación por prueba y año de nacimiento. Hubo premio a los equipos Campeón, Subcampeón y Tercer clasificado en la clasificación general conjunta, masculina y femenina y trofeo a la Mejor Marca individual masculina y femenina del campeonato por año de nacimiento.
El Club Natación San Fernando acudió a Torre del Mar con 2 nadadores y su entrenador Pachi Arce. Tomaron parte en las siguientes pruebas:

El sábado tomó parte en 200 libres, rebajo su marca personal en centésimas obteniendo un tiempo de 2:39.52. Ya por la tarde, esta nadadora participó en la prueba de 100 espalda realizando una marca de 1:21.05. El Domingo, para finalizar, nadó la prueba de 200 espalda consiguiendo una marca de 2:50.29, rebajando en mas de 10 segundos su marca personal
Francisco Murillo Bernal, nacido en el 2004, realizó también unas excelentes marcas en las pruebas que participó. El sábado por la tarde tomó parte en 100 espalda, rebajan su marca personal obteniendo un tiempo de 1:09.23. El Domingo, nadó la prueba de 200 espalda consiguiendo una marca de 2:33.03, rebajando también su marca personal y asegurandose su participación en el Campeonato de Verano.
Su entrenador, Pachi Arce, evalúa los resultados de sus dos nadadoras en este campeonato como excelentes, los cuales suponen un punto de partida para una mejora del equipo alevín del club cara a la temporada de verano.
